In Your Light

In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.
― Rumi

“Imagine your heart as an opening lotus.
From it’s center comes a crimson child,
pure, virginal, and innocent.” ~Lao Tzu

“It’s hard to bring out this child. When you try, you realize how nay defenses you have built around yourself. You also realize how experiences of adolescence and adulthood have stained you. Sometimes, you may even doubt that you have a pure innocent self to bring anyone. But each of us does. Each of us must find that crimson child within us and bring her out.” ~ Deng Ming-Dao

My take

Our inner creative innocent light, our inner child is alive and well. It’s just hard to realize sometimes that she exists. But she does. So we need to figure out what let’s this wonderful being out. For me it’s art. Creativity. This blog actually. And touching people’s hearts. When you read these posts. When you react in a positive way, and tell me I lifted you, my inner child not only comes out, she does a little dance of joy. String enough of these little dances of joy together and you are living an enlightened life. After all, isn’t hat what we are all striving for? An enlightened life? Please leave a comment and tell me what lights up your inner child? K?
