Create – Tap into Universal Joy
PressPausePlay
“The digital revolution of the last decade has unleashed creativity and talent in an unprecedented way, with unlimited opportunities. But does democratized culture mean better art or is true talent instead drowned out? This is the question addressed by PressPausePlay, a documentary film containing interviews with some of the world’s most influential creators of the digital era.”
The Joy of Creating
There’s tremendous joy and value in creating art — you don’t have to be a professional to make beautiful objects. Even better there is sharing the joy of making. The graffiti artist Keith Haring said of the process of creating art: ”When it is working, you completely go into another place, you’re tapping into things that are totally universal, completely beyond your ego and your own self. That’s what it’s all about.”
Make Something Wonderful
Some of you are artist. Some of you are secret artists inside. But we all love to create things. Or at least many of us do. I do. And I love sharing my blog with you. For those of you who are artists are artist want to be’s like me – “you become an artist because you have an idea to share”.
“Everyone is equally excited and afraid. They are excited for the chance to communicate their work.” Their art. And afraid they might fail. The hell with that. Just go for it! I highly recommend watching this film especially for those of us who are undiscovered artists. Let’s inspire one another. And feel free to write into me with ideas if you would like to publish a poem, a thought, or anything here. Contact me. For any reason. Even if you want some help with your project.
Love is the Creative Power
The heart is your student
for love is the only way we learn.
Night has no choice but to grab the feet of daylight.
It’s as if I see Your Face everywhere I turn.
It’s as if Love’s radiant oil
never stops searching
for a lamp in which to burn.
~ Rumi
The Subject of Love
Love is the astrolabe of God’s mysteries.
A lover may be drawn to this love or that love,
but finally he is drawn to the Sovereign of Love.
However much we describe and explain love,
when we fall in love we are ashamed of our words.
Explanation by the tongue makes most things clear,
but love unexplained is clearer.
When the pen came to the subject of love, it broke.
When the discourse reached the topic of love,
the pen split and the paper tore.
If intellect tries to explain it,
it falls helpless as a donkey on a muddy trail;
only Love itself can explain love and lovers!
The proof of the sun is the sun itself.
If you wish to see it, don’t turn away from it.
~ Rumi
