She is the Creator

She is the Creator

This particular poem is dear to my heart. My greatest strides forward in personal developement have been guided by women. My beautiful Michele is my teacher. My mom is my mentor. Sarah is my coach. And many other fabulous women who are wonderful goddesses. There are a few men that have an understanding of the feminine wisdom too. It is the feminine wisdom that this poem celebrates.

True wisdom comes from the sacred feminine. There is a quote on the internet attributed to the Dalai Lama that says “The planet does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds.” Precisely. Those qualities are the sacred feminine. I would add to that quote, the world needs more guidance from the wise feminine spirit.

I posted this version of She is the Creator because it is far superior to the versions on the internet. This version speaks with a gentleness both to men and women that the other versions don’t. Gentleness and wisdom is very much what this poem is about.

“Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?”

~ Rumi

She is the Creator

There’s a tradition that Muhammad said, “A wise man
will listen and be led by

a woman, while an ignorant man will not.” Someone too
fiercely drawn by animal

urges lacks kindness and the gentle affections
that keep men human.

Anger and sharp desiring are animal in qualities. A
loving tenderness toward

women shows someone no longer pulled along by wanting.
The core of the feminine

comes directly as a ray of the sun. Not the earthly
figure you hear about in

love songs, there’s more to her mystery than that. You
might say she’s not from

the manifest world at all, but the creator of it.

~ Rumi

  1. This is such a beautiful post from you Andrew. You are so in touch with your feminine side and it’s beautiful to witness as you delve deeper into yourself, discovering your truth…your light is glowing with a beautiful softness.
I am going through so many changes right now and although some are painful, the more I embrace these changes, the easier the transition…Acceptance and allowing for life to flow gives you strength and clear vision: to see that the changes-are actually gifting light and love in many forms. It may not have been the path you had anticipated but it is the path that will lead you to where you need to be in this chapter in your life right now. These changes are gifts, helping us become who we need to be.
Thank you for this lovely share….xx

    • I don’t think I am as in touch with the feminine as I would like to be. I come from kind of tough neighborhood where being a hard-ass was respected. Early programming that is not always the best. I am working on deprogramming or at least being open enough to be aware. Love your point about “may not have been the path you had anticipated but it is the path that will lead you”. John Lennon has a line in one of his songs like that. “Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans”. Great connection. Thanks for sharing with me. You are a wonderful human xoxo
